In November we are changing the clinical system we use to SystmOne. This change means certain things will change. From the app you use to order prescriptions to how your information is shared. There may be some disruption to our normal service
Why the change? Many other practices use this and it is the system used by local hospitals and other NHS services. There are many benefits of this new system including more efficient record sharing so we can see hospital letters and prescriptions sooner.

Howdon Community Hub's MUGA is oficially opened!

Living Well North Tyneside is thrilled to announce the official opening of Howdon Community Hub's brand-new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)!

The event took place on the 13th of September and was met with beautiful weather, making it a perfect day for the community to come together and celebrate.

The festivities began in the afternoon and were filled with fun and excitement. One of the highlights was an exhibition of football memorabilia from the Fans Museum, which delighted both young and old football enthusiasts. The exhibition showcased a wide range of items, including jerseys, trophies, and other fascinating artefacts that told the story of the beautiful game.

The event also featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolising the official opening of the MUGA. This marked an important milestone for the Howdon Community Hub and its commitment to providing recreational opportunities for the local community.

To add to the excitement, students from Denbigh Community Primary School put on sporting demonstrations, showcasing their skills in various sports. Their enthusiasm and talent were truly inspiring, and they set a great example for the young players who attended the event. A friendly competition was held to win Mini-Flags generously donated by Wor Flags.

Now that the MUGA is officially open, it is available for public hire. This means that individuals and groups from the community can book the facility for their own sporting activities and events. Whether you're interested in netball, cricket, or football, the MUGA offers a versatile space for all these sports.

The MUGA will be accessible on a weekly basis, allowing community members to engage in their favourite sports regularly. This is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to stay active, have fun, and build connections within the community.

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved in making the Howdon Community Hub's MUGA a reality. This project would not have been possible without the support and dedication of the community, local organisations, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring this facility to life.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this wonderful new addition to our community. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to have some fun, the MUGA at Howdon Community Hub is the perfect place to get active and enjoy sports with friends and family.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your sports gear, gather your friends, and head down to the Howdon Community Hub's MUGA for some exciting sporting action to make the most of this fantastic facility and create lasting memories!
